The Best Thing About Your Age: Group Notes

Millennials friends women girlfriends

I had a meeting yesterday in which there happened to be all ladies around the table. We went off on a tangent (which will always be the case if you are ever in a meeting with me). We started talking about age – how old we are, how we felt about it, how old we look forward to being, etc. I contributed that I couldn’t wait to turn 30, which was true. At 29 I was super over the decade I’d just had my stay in and was really looking forward to the next. And I was right, I like it here. A lot.

To this, one of the meeting participants who just entered her 20s chimed in that she couldn’t wait to be 30 – prompting the the response, “don’t wish your life away,” from another. Wise.

So, in the spirit of being present –  I thought we should have a check in about  our current ages in all of their nowness. I asked three questions: How old are you?
